Terms of service

Last updated October 21, 2026. These are the rules for using Dopbot, written in plain English.

1. Who we are

Dopbot (the "service") is provided by the independent operator of Dopbot (the operator's full legal name and mailing address are available on request at hello@dopbot.com). In these terms, "we" and "us" mean that provider. You can reach us at hello@dopbot.com.

2. What the service is

  • The Index is a free, public monthly report on which brands AI assistants recommend, by shopping category.
  • The free snapshot is a one-off check of one brand that you request with your email address and a store domain.
  • The tracker is a paid subscription (Brand or Agency plan) with weekly runs, a private dashboard, per-prompt winners, cited sources, citation gaps and a fix list.

By using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.

3. Private links

Snapshot results and dashboards are available at private web addresses. Anyone who has the address can view the page, so keep it to yourself or to the people you choose to share it with. If a link leaks, email us and we will replace it.

4. Subscriptions and billing

  • Prices are in US dollars and are shown on the pricing page. Taxes, if any, are shown at checkout.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
  • A subscription bills monthly in advance and renews until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the billing link in your dashboard. After you cancel, weekly runs stop when the paid period ends.
  • We do not give pro-rated refunds for part of a month unless the law requires it. If something on our side is broken, write to us and we will make it right.
  • We will give you at least 30 days' notice before a price change takes effect on your subscription.
  • If a payment fails, we may pause the tracker until payment is made.

5. Acceptable use

  • Use the service for brands you own, work for, or are researching in good faith.
  • Do not try to overload, scrape, probe or break the service, or get around its limits.
  • Do not submit unlawful content or domains you have no right to ask about.

The free snapshot is limited per person and per day, and we may limit or refuse requests to keep costs under control. We may change or end the free service at any time.

6. Results are samples, not guarantees

The results quote and summarise answers produced by third-party AI systems. Those answers can be wrong, and they change from run to run. Our numbers describe the answers we sampled, as explained in the methodology. They are information, not professional advice, and we do not promise that any brand will be recommended more often after following a fix.

7. Content and brand names

You may quote figures from the Index with a link back to the page you took them from. The text, design and software of the service belong to us or our licensors. Brand names and trademarks in the Index belong to their owners and appear only to identify them. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by OpenAI, Perplexity, any other AI provider, or any brand in the Index.

8. What we are responsible for

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it running and accurate, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms removes rights that the law says cannot be removed.

9. Ending things

You can stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms or misuse the service. We may change these terms; when a change matters to you, we will tell you by email or on the site before it applies.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of Ontario can hear disputes about them, except where consumer-protection law lets you bring a claim somewhere else.
